The Fireplace Loft was established in 1989 on an idea. We knew that our skills would provide stunning fireplace mantels and installations. But we also saw that our customers didn’t just want good looks and comfort but they wanted simplicity too. Too many home renovation projects are over-complicated by overlapping contractors and conflicting processes. Our customers needed someone to look after them holistically; with their best interests in mind. As a result, we took the complexity out of the process and save our customers’ money along the way.

The Fireplace Loft is not a big-box retailer or a Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) store. We are a complete custom fireplace finishing company. Our in-house custom finishing mark “Melwood Mantels” is not just a brand. But, Melwood Mantels is a wholly-owned Millwork and Cabinetry company with its own facility in Kitchener, Ontario. Together, The Fireplace Loft and Melwood Mantels represent the finest in Canadian craftsmanship. To match that unique workmanship, we carry only select brands such as Regency Napoleon and Kingsman Fireplace products.

We specialize in simplifying the process: consulting, designing, building, finishing and installing your fireplace project.
